After just the 2nd round of competition for the 2013 Formula D season, Vaughn Gittin Jr drive the Monster Energy Nitto Tire Mustang RTR to a 2rd place podium, and jumped ahead in points for the 2013 championship. Next stop is Palm Beach, FL May 31st/June 1st.
After qualifying 6th overall at the 9th running of Formula D Long Beach, the newly formed alliance between ASD and Vaughn Gittin Jr managed a 2nd place finish in the Monster Energy Nitto Tire Mustang RTR. We now are preparing for the 10th running of Formula D Atlanta at Road Atlanta early next month.
After months of hard work from both Vaughn Gittin Jr and the staff at ASD, we are pleased to present you with the new 2014 Monster Energy Nitto Tire Mustang RTR! We are just 17 days away from the first race of the season, and we are ready to rock! Make sure to stop by the Monster Energy pit this season to get a cold drink and see this beast in person!
We recently finished up a full day test run for the 2013 Ford Mustang we built for Vaughn for the 2013 Formula D season. Here is what he had to say:
“My mind is blown after our first preseason test today. This Mustang RTR that ASD built me is the fastest most fun machine I have EVER driven. Nitto Tire NT05′s get this thing in 3 wheel motion when the ole right foot is down. I am so thankful for the awesome people that make up my team and support me.”

After an incredible 2nd half of the season, Vaughn Gittin Jr was on track to his second Formula D Championship. He has been the highest average qualifier all season long, and with the last race of the year upon us, it would be an all or nothing battle to accomplish his goal of 2012 Formula D Champion.
